Candidates

Chairperson - 1st place
Ari Hallgrímsson
History
Who are you and what are the main issues you focus on within your School?
My name is Ari Hallgrímsson and I lead Röskva's list on the school of humanities for these elections. I'm in the first year in history and recently took a seat in SHÍ's social and cultural committee. This organization is among the largest advocacy groups in the country and I believe its work and impact should better reflect that position than it has for the last few years.

2nd place
Ásthildur Óskarsdóttir
Literature
Who are you and what are the main issues you focus on within your School?
My name is Ásthildur Óskarsdóttir and I am a first year student in literature. I am running for the student council on behalf of Röskva because I want to advocate for better facilities in the university and I want the students to have a say when important decisions are made. I want to put an emphasis on cooperation, fairness and that student's experience and knowledge carry a real weight on important decisions.

3rd place
Moses Osabutey
Icelandic as a second language
Who are you and what are the main issues you focus on within your School?
My name is Moses Osabutey. I have been actively involved in international, entrepreneurial, and equality communities, as well as several committees, gaining valuable experience and insight into the challenges students face. I am committed to listening to students, representing their interests, and working towards practical improvements in our student community.
