Lilja Hrönn Önnudóttir Hrannarsdóttir

Law

Who are you and what are the main issues you focus on?

I'm a 25 year old master student in law and started in Röskva in 2019. I sat in the student council throughout 2022 – 2023 and was the leader of Röskva in the council. I'm passionate about a strong public university that is funded by the government and not by the students.

Hjalti Dagur Hjaltason

Medical studies

Who are you and what are the main issues you focus on?

For the past five years I have sat on the board of the medical students association and for the past year as president. The experience has taught me that students always need to have a strong say in things. I want to advocate for better facilities for the student, continued funding and development of HERMÍS and stronger focus on student's mental health.

María Björk Stefánsdóttir

Chemical engineering

Who are you and what are the main issues you focus on?

I am in the student council for the school of engineering and natural science and I am the chairperson for Röskva in the student council. For the last year I have put emphasis on trying to improve the quality of the education whilst also advocating for better organized degree programs. I find it important that students' voices have a strong impact on the decisions the university makes, and that is why I am running as an alternate member for the university council.

Magnús Hallsson

Biochemistry and molecular biology

Who are you and what are the main issues you focus on?

Hi, my name is Magnús, also known as Gnúsi Halls. I'm in my third year in biochemistry and molecular biology. This is my 5th election and I have been in various roles within Röskva, including serving on the board, the school of engineering and natural science faculty council, and as a member of the student council. I'm passionate about fighting for better accessibility for people with mobility impairments in the university's building and making sure that the university's underfunding does not restrict the student's study choices.
